About Fastweigh MCP
Fastweigh MCP connects AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to your Fastweigh data. It uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI apps to other systems.
You can sign in with a Fastweigh user account or single sign-on, which currently use the preview application environment. You can also sign in with a tenant API key, which uses Fastweigh's public API. Either way, the assistant works within that account's or key's permissions.
The assistant reads data through a read-only sandbox. Supported changes go through dedicated proposal tools. Fastweigh reads the current record, shows you the exact change and waits for your approval. It then saves the change once and verifies the result. One review can cover two to five separate records. Saving stops at the first failure, and the result reports each record's outcome.
Every change requires your confirmation. Read and write access lets the assistant prepare proposals, not approve them. OAuth and API-key connections follow the same rules.
Fastweigh's checks reject incomplete records and unsupported fields. They can't rule out conflicts with edits made at the same moment in other applications.
